Who we are

Jess's Helping Hands is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and community service purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code. The organization aims to serve the Sacramento underserved communities, particularly women and children. By providing free online fitness services, nutritional support, and fitness events to benefit individuals of low economical status. Additionally, Jess's Helping Hands seeks to provide women and children access to health and wellness tools, including proper workout apparel, equipment, nutritional resources to positively impact lives.

Jessica Garrett is a first-generation college graduate from the underserved community of South Sacramento. With a Master’s in Community Medicine, she is deeply attuned to the impact that social determinants of health—such as access to resources, education, and healthcare—can have on a child's development. Jessica’s passion lies in intervening early to address these disparities, believing that by providing support and resources, individuals can overcome health challenges and thrive. Driven by a commitment to equity, her goal is to leverage her professional expertise to serve underserved communities and create meaningful change, ultimately transforming lives and improving health outcomes for those who need it most.
